Jimmy Cliff is a Jamaican musician, singer and actor and is best known for songs, “Sitting in Limbo,” “You Can Get It If You Really Want,” and “Many Rivers to Cross” from the soundtrack to The Harder They Come, which helped popularize reggae across the world. In 2010, Cliff was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is working on his first album in seven years.
His songs from The Harder They Come brought him to the FM airwaves and opened the door for reggae to become a universal sound. With that to his name, Cliff was sought out as a collaborator by artists ranging from the Rolling Stones and Elvis Costello to Annie Lennox, while Willie Nelson, Cher and Fiona Apple are among the many who have performed and recorded his material. In 1993, Cliff returned to the mainstream pop charts in the U.S. with his version of Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” from the film Cool Runnings. | venue info

From Muskegon: Start out on US-31 BR S. This becomes I-96 E. Follow this past downtown Grand Rapids. Take the M-37 / East Beltline Ave exit, #38, toward M-44. Turn left onto M-37 / East Beltline Ave NE. The Gardens are about a half mile north on the right hand side of the road.
From Holland: Start out on I-196 E towards Grand Rapids. Follow this past downtown Grand Rapids. I-196 E becomes I-96 E / M-37 S. Take the M-37 / East Beltline Ave exit, #38, toward M-44. Turn left onto M-37 / East Beltline Ave NE. The Gardens are about a half mile north on the right hand side of the road.
From Lansing: Start out on I-96 W toward Flint / Grand Rapids. Take the Cascade Rd West exit, #40A. Merge onto Cascade Rd SE. Turn right onto M-37 N / E Beltline Ave SE. You will follow the East Beltline until you see the entrance for Frederik Meijer Gardens on your right hand side. 1000 East Beltline NE
